No Project Lincoln style republican would EVER do this in a million years.
No sane Democrat would EVER oppose this in a million years.
Sadly all we have right now are brainwashed Manchurian Candidate Democrats who've been shown their trigger card and now run around bleating random shyte every day in knee-jerk reaction to anything orange.
And exotically nasty Palapatine-style shriveled, grotesque Republcan senators who answer only to their corporate and israeli masters.
In short the same skekis that installed the Patriot Act with malice aforethought knowing full well it had nothing to do with terrorism but was instead the next critical step for techno-communism and one world government.
May every last one of those phuckers burn in hell forever.
And hopefully, someday, we will have enough Trump supporters in congress to shut-down the surveillance state.
