There’s not a SEC level player every year in the state.

It doesn’t do any good trying to lock up players that should be headed to mid majors. You can recruit them so that if they do pop the home school has the relationship to bring them in as transfers.

Bates and Mitchell while not technically in state, were regional players that Mizzou was able to bring in. So were Warrick and Perkins.
