Christian beliefs are heavily influenced by neo-Platonism, particularly Plotinus’ The Enneads, whom Augustine was familiar.
The Apostle Paul’s writings show influence from Stoic philosophy, which is not surprising since he was from Tarsus, a city that was a center of Stoic thought in his time. He also shows he grasped Platonic and Epicurean concepts, which he used in debate.
Religious beliefs in Asia are far different.
