They have both suppliers and customers around the world.

And US customers have been much more price conscious ever since the housing crisis.

Now Trump wants to force the rule change upon Americans. And he has made no issues about going after individual companies if they do not suck up to them. (in fairness the same is done on the other side of the aisle).
