QB is the specialized position, when you draft one high you're not making a rookie contract decision, you're trying to make a $200-250 million decision on their success and turning into someone you hope develops into the person you give that second contract to. If he was graded out as high in a more disposable position he'd be gone now, especially one like WR because it's a diva position. But you can't be a leader of men if you are not the man in your own life and your father is coming along for the ride. People won't respect him in that circumstance-he'll get along with people who like him, but not a whole team, and the QB has to have the respect of his teammates. I was listening to a lot of excuses being made for him on Dan Patrick but they missed the point, whether it's fair or not, it was job interviews and he didn't inspire confidence in the people he was talking to. NFL is a total no bull**** business, people who think they can buck that can do so only as long as they're worth the trouble and are not around long when they no longer can.
