Pierce needs confidence imo more than anything

It seemed the harder the shot the more efficient he was this season. I think those were the times he was playing on instinct.

I piggyback on that he let the struggles in confidence offensively affect the way he played defensively. Which is where Porter comes into play. If Pierce doesn’t put it together then Porter is there to pick up the minutes. If he does play well it allows CG to go with more skill by Pierce and Porter being able to play separately and together
