$40M in his 14 year career and only started five games.

The key to having a long career as an NFL backup QB is to never crack the starting lineup. Once you start for a bit your weaknesses are exposed and they go looking for the next guy. Chase never started so he was that next guy his entire career.

He was in the NFL for 14 years and never took any real hits. So he made serious bank and came out in perfect health.
