The scary part is someone cherry-picks a few that are off their rockers and assume that all science is either flat-out wrong or controlled by the other party. In the 80's a scientist, I think it was Ivan Browning, used sceince to tell us an earthquake was coming to st louis from the new madrid fault, and even said what day it was coming. Wrong of course. People who don't understand science constantly either ignore it or mis-use it. Kind of like the crazy sientist who ahd a study decades ago in Sweden that said vaccines cause autism. The study was quickly shown to be a complete fraud, but decades later people still believe it.
