My dad’s house took a beating in a tornado

when he was 6 or 7 years old, taking most of roof and collapsing their small barn. Happened early in morning while everyone was sleeping.
If I’ve remembered anything from him, anytime there was a tornado warning he demanded everyone be dressed and have shoes on. Talked about trying to pick through the damage to find something to wear and his shoes all those years ago.
I still do the same thing to this day.
Everyone be safe, this one looks a little scary yet again.
