they were on mid year is a reflection of how good they really were then your description might be right. But if you think they simply got hot and won some games that they probably shouldn't have and then came back to what their talent level really was towards the end, you probably don't think it was a disaster.

I lean towards the later. I think once opponents figured out how to play against them the team responded as who they really were. I never thought they were good enough to be a top level SEC team. They gave that appearance for awhile but ultimately came back to the middle. Which wasn't terrible but not where we'd like them to be.
