Do Christians get taught to hate Catholics?

I have encountered many Christians who hate on Catholics until I mention I am one. Is it in the preachers sermon? Or order places in their church? I can't remember ever being taught to hate Protestants when attending catholic school.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
