EXACTLY what would happen and this is EXACTLY where we'd be at 5pm on wednesday?
I dunno.
But i know that the extraordinarily stupid people on tv and on this board who said trump did something he said he would not do, want to call him a pussy, a wimp, a liar and a hypocrite.
Because that makes mat and the other timmy walzes on here feel manly.
The libditz on THE FIVE on fox said that trump and all his people said he would not do this, he would not pause the tariffs. He capitulated.
To be fair, some intelligent people said the same thing.
So.... the libs and the mats have been apoplectic all week about the damage trump is doing to the economy, and to the country they hate.
So he appears to change direction (or was this part of the plan?) and delays implementation of the tariffs.
So now, the mats are howling that he diverted from the plan that was killing the economy... and things today look much better. And the mats are howling again.
Listen princesses, imagine you had plan was to drive in a straight line from point A to point B and you
WERE NOT going to change your mind. But halfway into the trip you realize that the bridge is out. If you don't change your plan, you will drive off a cliff and kill yourself and your entire family.

Events happen, trump was watching the bond market. MYGOD.
He changed the plan.
So now, the people who were howling about the stupid, wrongheaded, idiotic, suicidal and hapless plan to get from A to B are howling that he changed his mind and his plan.
The mats wanted him to lay out a negotiating plan, tell everyone what it was and stick to it no matter what.
And importantly:
Don't look at the bond market
Don't look at the stock market
Don't take an opportunity to isolate china and work with all the other countries, thereby isolating china.
Don't consider the attitude of the nation and the congress as he the Big Beautiful Bill is coming up for a vote
Don't consider that the "tailored" tariffs for each nation could not be negotiated in a week or two
I don't know whether he caved, or saw an opportunity to isolate the chicoms, or if the bond market persuaded hi to wait, or if he needed more time to negotiate with other nations or if the pending lkvote on the budget was part of the reason.
Only mat knows. When he stops howling, someone should ask him.
