"recent history" starts in 2012, according to Rossi

The Cardinals have been to the postseason 14 times this century, the Royals have been 3 times.

Nobody with any sense of reasoning would consider the Royals to be the more successful franchise in "recent history"

If 10 years is a more accurate cut-off, the Cards have been 5 times and the Royals twice.
