Buying S&P puts for $2,000 on the Friday before Black Monday in October 1987.

Tried to sell Monday morning, but without a fully automated order entry/electronic execution system, the order wasn't filled until the end of the day when the mkt was at a low.

I do not claim skill, just luck. Got the execution back on Tuesday morning, and the proceeds didn't show until Wednesday....for a Monday morning mkt order. Account was credited $26,500 on the $2,000 purchase.

Went and replaced my 1979 Pontiac Sunbird with a Honda Accord. Paid cash and drove it for 10 years.!
