Top 75 ranked players in their respective classes than any SEC team other than UK and UF. He inherited an incoming JUCO in the recruiting class that would go on to be a top 10 scorer nationally elsewhere. And then he was basically delivered a top 30 player in Teki and a future long time NBA player in Danuel House without having to do anything.

We had averaged over 25 wins per season the prior 3 years and he was given an assistant staff he couldn’t have remotely hoped to assemble on his own.

There are very few, if any, first time D1 coaches that inherit such a favorable situation at an SEC level school
