"I am likely going to leave this company to go work for our competitor. They have offered me a higher title, more responsibility, and a considerable salary increase. I simply cannot ignore the offer. Now, I don't really like all the duties of that role. It will hard and at times boring and not nearly as satisfying as what I am doing here. And as we have discussed before, titles don't mean much to me. When I said considerable salary increase, it was only moderate and if you will give me $5k more per year I will stay."
