Caitlin Clark is drawing a crowd because she's a great player.

If some other player could shoot like that they'd draw a crowd too.

To say it's about race takes away from what she's doing which is EXACTLY what this article was about.

Are other white NBA players getting a fanbase because they are white?

Sophie Cunningham for example - she's basically nowhere in terms of national attention.

But if she came into the league with a Caitlin level of stats you better believe she'd have a fanbase developing too.

And so would a black player.
