Does the admin of Missouri CARE about baseball?
Here is why you'll know one way or the other in about 6 to 8 weeks.
FIRE the head coach who clearly shouldn't have ever been hired in the first place. While firing him you must also admit to the public that baseball needs investment, in the form of increased NIL money but also new facilities. You can't fire this coach without admitting that.
In firing the head coach Missouri will have to EAT his salary, and pay a new coach at the same time. IF THEY CARE about baseball they will FIRE this coach and admit baseball needs more investment to compete.
Showing they're willing to EAT this coaches money while paying someone else to take it over... shows they realize they need to PONY UP!
OR
Missouri will show they do NOT care by leaving him on board. Why? Because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize this guy isn't the answer. But by not firing him and starting over they're SAYING...
We have NO MONEY for baseball. We do not CARE about baseball. Our sole focus is Football and secondly basketball. There is no hope no plan no future for baseball at Mizzou.
THEN JUST CANCEL THE PROGRAM so we can STOP BEING A LAUGHINGSTOCK!
