But only 9 of 30 teams spending over 50% is a little shocking. There's some miserly owners out there.

Royals 167 Mil in payroll is barely more than what the Dodgers are paying in Luxury tax, yet the Dodgers are still running at more profit than the Royals even throwing that much money away.
