Baseball & softball are arguably MU’s best programs

Baseball has a natty, 6 CWS appearances and last won a conference championship in 1996.
Softball has 7 CWS appearances and has won 2 conference title since 1997. (Volleyball has found conference success but has not done much in the national tourney. WBB and soccer are historically insignificant once you get out of the Rutherford era of conference success.)
MBB has never been to a F4 and last won a conference title in 1994.
Football has never appeared in national championship game and hasn’t won a conference title since 1969.
Granted, the SEC is a whole new game but every sport (-wrestling) faces the dilemma of finding a way to be relevant. Kind of shame to not have high standards for baseball and softball considering their historic status of being more relevant than most sports at Mizzou.
