whenever Luther made a big play, teammates would run toward him to celebrate, but he always seemed to turn away and celebrate by himself for the camera and then run off to the sideline. He did not seem to be the one to celebrate others doing well or to welcome other teammates wanting to be part of his good time.
It just seemed like it was all about him. Maybe that is not accurate, but it always looked that way to me.
Part of me wonders if the offense was at times less effective because the coaches and Cook tried so hard to get Luther his touches. Luther has great talent, but in my mind he was less of a teammate than guys like Maclin, Gage, or Danario. Those guys were simply fantastic and the fans loved them. Luther seemed detached and about himself.
I hope Luther does well. NFL teams will have a short fuse for goofiness and poor work ethic.
