rebound better, but most fans have a misguided impression of what rebounding should look like.

Not a lot of teams have multiple guys average over 5-6 boards per game. Yet we have fans that think everybody over 6'6 should average 8-10 per game, or more. It just doesn't happen.

The best rebounding team in the SEC had 3 guys over 5 but nobody got to 8.
The conference champs had nobody average 8 and only two guys over 6, with two at 5.x.

A pretty good rebounding team will have a big man get 8+ and then a couple of bigs around 5-ish and then a guard that is good at slipping in or eyeing the long boards and gets 4-5 per game. Then you have a the rest of the regulars averaging 2-3 per game.
