Nolan Ryan story…

So my we go to a Royals game, and are staying at what is now The Westin I think maybe it was the Hyatt. I can’t remember, but the Rangers were staying there.
Anyway they were hanging out in the lobby. Charlie Hough was smoking a heater - lol. Back then you could light up wherever. I got his autograph on some hotel stationary, and then I asked Nolan Ryan for his autograph. He says - “I consider this my home, and I don’t sign autographs in my home…but we are leaving soon and the bus is out front…if you wait out there you will be the first one person I sign.”
Sure enough - he come out…sees me and signs and then no others and gets right on the bus. Very strange, but he stuck to his word. Ruben Sierra was total d*ck signed it and basically shoved at me.
Best part was Charlie Hough. Dude looked like he just had a bender, and gave zero f*cks.
