in 2022, Aidan Shaw won the DiRenna award for top basketball player in the KC Metro. We all know what his career has been so far at MU. Here's the other 4 finalists

Bennett Stirts - Liberty - We all know his story at this point

Damare Smith - Shawnee Mission NW - average 14ppg for Saint Mary University (KS) - NAIA level

Ikenna Ezeogu - Blue Springs - Current playing Defensive End for the Iowa St Cyclones. Very limited playing time so far through his Sophomore year

Kyan Evans - Staley - Colorado St Guard - average 10.6 pts and 44.6% 3-point shooting this year. Co St lost in 1st round of NCAA tourney to Maryland by 1 point

So of the 5, Shaw was the highest rated recruit at the time. If you re-ranked them now, he's likely 3rd behind Stirtz and Evans
