Why does it always have to be "baby steps" with our teams?

Look at what Indiana's football team did in its first year with a new head coach. Or what Drake's head basketball coach did in his first year in a power conference. Or look at where Todd Golden has Florida basketball in just his third season.

It's frustrating how other programs can somehow find success a lot sooner that MU's can… and maintain that level once they reach it.

Seems like it's always excuses for MU. I certainly didn't expect the football team to reach the playoff last season. And I didn't expect the basketball team to win the SEC or have a deep NCAA tournament run. But it just seems like we should be doing better.
