Article says the Arizona State campus is only 15 miles from her current work location, so she probably doesn't have to move houses. Reportedly some of her family had moved to the Phoenix area a few years ago so that may have been anchoring her there as well.

Regarding comment that they lost by 13 to Baylor, Grand Canyon was leading most of the first half, despite having their best player sit most of the half with foul trouble. At half, they were down 3, and only down 2 late in the third quarter, but Baylor kept feeding the ball to their 6'4" post player and pulled away at the end.
