money to the football program instead.

It's wasted on Gates. It helps to avoid a repeat of his 2nd season, but for what?... to get blown out by mid-majors in the early rounds of the Tournament?

We're better off re-allocating those millions to football and letting the clock run out on Gates contract and the ridiculous buyout that DRF gave him.
