Drink saw his limitations and hired an OC. It looks to me like Gates needs to take a page from Drinks playbook and be the face of the program. Recruit recruit recruit. Do the interviews. Be seen pretending to care about the other sports. Schmooze the donors. Maybe set an overall philosophy. And hire some assistants that can scheme the damn game.
