lacking with their current approach to tech. All you need is one or two incidents to completely crater trust. That's pretty much what happened with GM's Cruise project and caused it to fold.

And robots are so far off that it will be a decade plus before they could possibly be ready. I don't remember the podcast but I listened to a robotics engineer that laid out how incredibly hard it is to build even single-purpose autonomous robots using current tech. They said that any sort of multi-purpose household robot is a long ways away, even with the current pace of AI.
