Bennett Stirtz from Liberty MO is the Cody Schroeder of hoops this year and it’s about as bad an idea to underestimate him as it was Schroeder. After he goes for 30 pts, 5 boards, 6 assists and 4 steals on us on Thursday I hope we make a run at him in the portal to help fill the Grill and Bates spots. He fits our style well.
80 percent of Drake’s roster is kids from Missouri. This is the game of their lives.
They have won 30 of the 33 games they have played. It is foolish to overlook thar at any level. You can only play who is in front of you and they have methodically slaughtered their schedule.
They are a Texas A&M type slow down defensive team which is our kryptonite.
Are we more athletic yes. But make no mistake, I was saying to Eggs earlier this week when Lunardi has us playing Drake in his bracketology that would be our worst possible draw from the 10 or 11 spot. And here we are.
