I "grew up" in my 20's and 30's drinking the most extreme beers and styles. Darker, hoppier, more exotic ingredients...whatever you got, I want more. I would turn up my nose to lagers.


Today....they're my top place. Now I appreciate a well-made european-style lager (and yes, there's a lot of variety on there). Sure, I'll be more excited about a real Belgian or a Geuze/Lambic, but let me get a couple miles in on the trolly trail, pour me a Helles Lager or Pure Pils and I'm feeling pretty good.
