weather (or geological eg. earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis etc.) events is not really categorized as climate change spending, or at least it shouldn't be. It is also not what the vast majority of that spending category entails.
Our military can still improve the resilience of our bases without most of the garbage it is being wasted on currently. There is also no indication that they're planning on cutting anything legitimately related to such resilience.
It is also disingenuous to be claiming that it's necessary to keep our foreign military airbases. What stupidity. We pay them tons of money for that access. I would bet anything that they prefer the cash to earmarked funds for eliminating coal electric plants or whatever is sent to them currently.
