This stuff was supposed to work on the elderly and religious people (granted that is obviously a religious simpleton in the video but the general point stands) , and MAGA would die off once they passed away in the near term and America could recoup and recover. Young people were presumed to have a level of sophistication towards technology and misinformation, but that has proven wildly false.

It is very much within the realm of possibility that Putin sinks America permanently and reshapes the world order with the re-election of Trump and the buy in from the younger generation. The prevailing thought boomers would ruin America may have initially been true, but it looks like they just kicked the door open towards a more lasting impact of collapse. It will be interesting to see what evolves as America slides out of the prominent position it has held for all of our lifetime.
