Believed anyone acting should be a professional & be ready for action when called. There were a ton of scenes where he was involved with a young kid who took many takes to get it right while Mean Gene kept delivering his lines without a hitch. The kid finally hits the mark & Hackman flubbed his causing him to lose his mind briefly.

Lots of that kind of stuff.
