Tax credits and subsidies to be cut hurts or helps Tesla?
I could see both sides of it. On one hand it hurts because it doesn’t provide tax tax credit incentives to buy them. Taking it away, sales could go down.
On the other hand, Tesla has the largest market share of the EV market in the US, so a cut could starve off smaller EV companies or influence other EV makers not to make any at all, leaving Tesla with an even bigger market share.
However, if the incentives and subsidies were to keep growing, the EV industry as a whole could grow which would likely shrink Tesla’s market share.
But the growth of the EV market could benefit Tesla too as Tesla’s network of charging points is vastly largest and most EV makers are making their cars compatible with them.
