I'm not opposed to military action against the Cartels, but its not that easy. Its kind of like Hamas. The cartels are embedded in communities. People dont have the option of "not hanging out around them". They run things in those areas. Has to be dealt with in several ways. I agree with finding a way to attack the cartels, also have to make it harder to transport to the US, and have to reduce the demand in this country. As long as there is a high demand for it in this country, someone will find a way to get it here.
