First, the actions and responses of the democrats in attendance was childish, unbecoming, and borderline pathetic. You could certainly say the same about Trump but that is expected of him, and adults are not supposed to behave like that. Many of those people should be ashamed and embarrassed and I hope many of them are voted out of office. The country demands better
Conversely it was disheartening to see the Republican reaction. Setting party aside, those are collectively some patently dumb and pathetic representatives. They are like children, and not bright children
I personally found all the people brought to be paraded around gross and patronizing. It made a really long and boring speech incredibly long, and they were treated as trivial objects instead of actual people. Trumps references to them were just gross and hollow and cheap
Everything in Trump’s world is extreme, absolute, unnuanced, superlative. Worst ever. Best ever. “Like nothing that has ever been seen before.” “Nobody has ever heard anything like it.” It’s juvenile and the way a total moran talks.
The positioning on social security as a scam with the blatantly stupid lies recounting for a prolonged period stats about it was clearly setting up significant changes upcoming for social security. That is the transparent simpleton way he always sets up things like that.
Not good times for America in general. We pretty obviously don’t have the right people in place and there are pretty obviously some rather bad times ahead. Embarrassing time to be an American
