Yes. Russia is our adversary and a near-peer, if not actual peer militarily. When such a nation says your actions pose an existential threat to their vital national interests, you should take them at their word and recalculate the risks. Neither Obama, Trump (1), nor Biden listened. After three years of war and Russia on the brink of victory, we have no more cards to play. I hope and pray Trump can get us out of this Ukraine mess before this civil war becomes a world war.
