Does anyone remember the Crossfire days at CNN?

I believe these were in the days when CNN was actually considered a legitimate “news” source and many conservatives watched it regularly. Crossfire was great, you had both the left and right viewpoint on any topic, discussed and debated and gave the viewer an easy opportunity to make their own decision based on reasonable arguments from two sides of an issue.

We don’t see that today. Pretty much all outlets have taken a side and the consumer has to search on their own to find decent commentary or reporting that represents two sides of an issue.

Maybe the post can get back to the model of removing the hysteria around every issue and hire people capable of presenting an even handed look, facts, data, evidence, and be the source that lets the reader make the call.
