game of the season will likely decide it. The Cats are currently a 3 seed. Likely to finish the year 1-2. Will do well to win 1 game in the SECT as long as we're on the 8/9 seed line. If/when that scenario plays out we're probably a 4/5.
MU is currently a 5 based on their hot garbage non-con.Only non-con with a pulse they played, they lost. BUT, they control their own destiny. Finish the year 2-1 and are on the 4/5 line for SECT. Get 1-2 wins in the SECT and they're obviously on the 3/4 seed line for the NCAAs.
But to answer your question a bit more directly, the Cats are where they are because they have 9 Q1 wins. MU is where they are because of the previously mentioned non-con. And more than likely those two teams flip spots in the next couple of weeks.
