the newer shows start out with some mega violence, sex or some other action packed scene to grab the interest of tik tok viewers with low attention span right from the beginning.

You only know what its about right from the beginning if you have watched the 15 minutes of trailers, its a sequel, prequel, its a remake or it has no plot.
