Her team is currently 25-2 and on the nation's longest winning streak among women's basketball teams at 23 games.
The four teams they have left to play they have already trounced once this season, so they are likely to finish the regular season 29-2 and undefeated in conference play. At the age of 38 she has already won close to 300 career games at a winning clip of around 84%.
Yes, she's in a lesser league, but this year her team has beaten both Arizona and Arizona State.
She is very charismatic, articulate, and comes across as an upbeat and positive person who I think could recruit very well. Her stated goal is for her teams to play up tempo offense and strong pressure defense.
She has indicated in interviews that Missouri is "close to her heart" and that she expected to stay in Missouri forever until she got the nice offer at Grand Canyon.
And yes, she is affordable, making only $250k now versus the over $600k that Coach Pingeton was making. However, I expect there will be other high major teams going after her based on the spectacular year her team is having.
And no, I don't have any connection to her, just think she seems like a really good fit for the program here.
