Seemed to have difficulty keeping a straight face when he promised a chuckles' presidency.

He was lying through his teeth, he knew the facts, it was obvious. He was at that point and certainly in years prior just another partisan hack.

I can respect people with whom I disagree if they are honest. I have said that about Dennis Kucinich many times.

Carville used to be clever, folky, honest, homespun, all that stuff. He has morphed into an MSNBC anchor.
