The reason MU vs ku evolved into a big rivalry is the two programs were largely equivalent and competing for the same thing. They are considerably beneath us after they quit the rivalry a little over a decade ago. It should not be seen as a mark of achievement for MU to be better than ku at this point….of course we are. We can’t be at the top of the SEC if we set our benchmarks so low as measuring against a program like ku.
You can hate them and laugh at what became of them. But they are a midmajor now.
