In the WBB team's last seven games, they beat a ranked team by one point, beat an unranked team by ten and had three games where they lost by fewer than ten points.

They clearly are playing even good teams better than they were earlier. I can imagine a scenario in which the administration says that its pleased with the recent progress, sees some hope for the future and offers to keep RP at her current salary level. Or even with a pay cut.

I agree with most of you that it shouldn't happen and probably won't happen. But I think that it's entirely possible, given how little the administration has shown that it really cares about improving the program.

Even if RP is let go, who could we get that definitely would make the team a consistent winner? And how much are we willing to pay, to get that? And if we somehow did become a winning program, would more fans care?

With the annual $22 million MU will have to pay to athletes in revenue sharing, the administration will be looking to trim costs.

My point is that based on how little the administration has invested into the program… I wouldn't rule it out my scenario.
