Its ridiculous, the carriers actually have a table that tells them how much to pay out per dismembered body part

like:
$200 if you lose a hand
$500 if you lose an arm
$1000 if you lose a leg
etc

Hmm, I lost my left hand, my right arm, and my right leg below the knee in an accident...here's $1768.23 for your troubles!

Thats so out of date and antiquated it's crazy. I still see it occasionally though, if someone has an auto insurance policy that they took out 30 years ago and have never changed it
