Advocating for a black coach doesn’t mean a person isn’t racist. But immediately jumping on skin color because of his ignorance of who Dennis Gates was, is racist.

He never just said, “I’d rather Mizzou hire someone who has a more proven track record”. He made it about skin color immediately as why Gates would even be considered much less hired.
