dairy and poultry yes. they set quotas to limit production which keeps prices up. So with domestic prices up, they have to limit cheaper imports (USA does this I think with sugar, and other crops as well, so it is not Canada alone)...of course Trump would never talk about that.
I think the banks are pretty much nationalized, and they only have like 2-3 banks in the entire country.
But the reality is, there really are not many international banks at all, so that was a bit of a weird comment by Trump.
