Gymnastics falls to LSU

Ladies put together a great road meet against #3 LSU posting a great road score of 197.175 just below their season high posted last week 197.2 at home. LSU was however just unbelievable posting only the second 198 score of the season in the gymnastics world. I think they were angry after a very poor meet last week.

Vault still lacks a solid #5 and 6 gymnast which is consistently resulting in a counting score below 9.8.

The bars rotation is looking really solid. Cleaned up the landings quite a bit this week

Floor judging was really tight this week but lsu clearly had better control of their landings. We have so much power and great dance and expressions but our landings have been loose the last couple of weeks.

Beam has been much improved the last two weeks. The two freshmen in the lineup have been very solid and Helen just missed her second perfect 10 with a 9.975.

Overall it was an excellent meet on the road in a very tough gym. LSU fans are loud and proud. If you don’t follow gymnastics and you want to see the difference between a top 5 and a top 10 team watch this meet.
