When you proclaim for four years that melanin count, what type of plumbing and how you choose to use that plumbing was more important than merit then these questions arise.

Trump will put just as many women, minorities and LGBTQ+ in positions of authority as Biden did. But he will not muddy the waters by claiming that those qualities played some part in their hiring.

Biden announced he was going to choose a AA female as his running mate and then chose Harris. Was she the best choice for VP or the best AA female choice? By making that announcement he told the world that checking boxes was more important than merit. There was no way for Harris to recover from that even if she had been the best candidate.
